I was extremely fortunate to co-write an article for Barnboken with my dear friend and colleague Sonali Kulkarni (University of Tilburg) on the topic which has been at the centre of our “academic affair” for nearly five years: BookTok. This article specifically looks at how the affective properties of sound memes on BookTok enable novel forms of reviewing for YA lit among users.
